Privacy, stated plainly
Pure Offline. Private by Design. means the installed app does its documented work without the network — and says so honestly where the limits are.
Local processing and file handling
- All 100 tools execute on your device. No cloud converters, OCR services, AI APIs, or hosted storage.
- Only files and folders you explicitly pick are read. Originals are never modified — tools produce new outputs.
- No account, no activation, no license check, no telemetry, no analytics in the desktop app.
Local history and saved results
- Operation history and retained outputs live in on-device storage with per-tool and global off switches.
- Sensitive tools (passwords, encryption, vault, shredder, scanners, audits, redaction) record metadata only — counts and timestamps, never secrets or content.
- Deleting a record removes its retained output and its search presence. Backups you export are yours to keep or delete.
Optional local AI
- Local models are strictly opt-in: you install a compatible model, and inference runs on-device.
- A missing model produces a clear message. There is no cloud fallback — the app never silently sends prompts or files elsewhere.
- None of the 100 tools require AI. They work identically with no model installed.
Downloads and updates
- Fetching the installer, checking the changelog, and downloading updates you choose necessarily use the network.
- The app never auto-updates or downloads models, templates, or resources in the background.
- Verify SHA-256 checksums published on the download page before installing.
Website vs. desktop app
- This website serves pages and files over the network — it cannot be “offline”, and it makes no such claim.
- The offline guarantee covers the installed application's documented local workflows, not this site.
- This site runs no analytics today. If minimal privacy-respecting measurement is ever added, it will be disclosed here first.
Third-party dependencies and their roles
- PDF work uses pdf-lib (bundled). QR codes use bundled qrcode/jsqr libraries. Formatting helpers are local code.
- OS brand icons on this site come from Simple Icons (CC0). Interface icons are Lucide (ISC).
- No dependency in the tool pipeline makes network requests during normal use.
Limitations and your responsibilities
- Offline does not mean invulnerable: malware, a compromised OS, or someone with your unlocked device can still reach your files. Use OS-level protections.
- Redaction and anonymization are rule-based and best-effort — review outputs before sharing.
- Secure deletion has real limits on SSDs and journaled filesystems; the shredder states them instead of hiding them.
- Unsigned test builds trigger SmartScreen/Gatekeeper warnings; verify checksums and expect signing to arrive later.
